No way!! Child, what a coincidence! We've both gravitated towards the same artist at the same time! A few months ago a friend of mine passed me a couple of M.I.A. mp3s, and I didn't really listen to them. Just a few days I go, I gave them a chance and was strangely hooked. I checked out her first album Arular from the library and currently have this track called "10 Dollar" in my head. I'm quite curious to listen to her new album. It's funny we're both taken in by her eclectic mix of hip-hop, tribal, grime, electric, whatever-the-hell else her music is classified as!
I was literally about to send you a message about her. Look up any of her new songs on Youtube, they're all on there. I LOVE Paper Planes (the one below this post)...the Clash song it samples is pretty awesome too. She's sort of like Gwen Stefani's new music but waaaaaay more authentic and sustantive and funky!
